MACHANEH OHEV 2024 "The Most Fun Jewish Week of the Year" For Jewish children entering grades Pre K-8th in the fall of 2024 All welcome regardless of COS membership Machaneh Ohev will be from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each day with before and after care available for an additional fee. Theme: "Journey Through the Alef Bet". The Hebrew letters tell many stories and are the building blocks of our shared Jewish language. We will have fun with games, crafts, stories, cooking, swimming, singing, dancing and other surprises as we embark on this journey together.
“Machaneh Ohev 2024” will offer children a week of Jewish summer fun. Children will be grouped by grade with a ratio of 1 staff for every 6 children. The camp is under the direction of Amy Geboff, Director of Youth and Family Education at Congregation Ohev Shalom. Camp Counselors include teens from our Madrichim program during the year, college students and adults as well.
Each day will be programming around a theme of and include crafts, games, drama, sports, cooking, singing, dancing and water fun. Hebrew phrases and terminology will be used as well as Hamotzi and Birkat and Ruach at each lunch.
Snack will be served each day and lunch on noted days.
Cost for the week COS members- first child $220 - siblings $195
NON COS members- first child $350 - siblings $325
Please note that children must be registered for the entire week. We are not offering individual days at this time.
