Amy Geboff became the COS Religious School Administrator in May 1996, and in 2002 she accepted the position of Director of Youth and Family Education. In addition to directing the school, she supervises all programs of the youth groups, teens, and families. Recently, Amy led the Ohev Shalom board of directors in a process of understanding and applying Relational Judaism to how we interact with our congregation.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Amy is a graduate of Akiba Hebrew Academy. She received a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in social work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work of Yeshiva University. Amy is a graduate of the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute, a 2-year program for leaders in Jewish education to examine the practice of teaching, create meaningful professional development, and work to elevate the professional status of Jewish educators. Prior to coming to Orlando in 1995, Amy was the Program Director of the JCC of Youngstown, Ohio, for 9 years and the Youth Director for 2 years before that.

Amy and her husband, Eric, live in Longwood. Eric is the Director of Development at the Sharing Center in Longwood. Their three daughters, now grown, were all raised at Ohev Shalom, were active members and leaders of USY, and worked at Camp Ramah Darom and Ramah in the Rockies.
