Join the Yad Squad
The Yad Squad is the name given to the group of people who read Torah and Haftarah during Torah services on Shabbat mornings and holidays.
Cantor Robuck initiated the Yad Squad several years ago to encourage post B’nei Mitzvah students to continue participating in services. Since then, the Squad has come to include Torah and Haftarah readers of all ages and skill levels, ranging from novice to accomplished.
Carol Lefkov has been the coordinator since 2011. Torah reading lists are sent out to all on the Yad Squad list at least 3–4 weeks in advance of the associated Shabbat.
Anyone who is interested in participating in the Yad Squad should contact Kelly Sidoti, Clergy Assistant, at clergyasst@ohevshalom.org.
