About the Speaker: Boaz Dvir is an Israeli-American journalist, a documentary filmmaker, an associate professor of journalism at Penn State University, and the founding director  of the Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Education Initiative .    As an award-winning filmmaker, Dvir tells the stories of ordinary people who, under extraordinary circumstances, transform into trailblazers who change the world around them.  Amongst his works is his critically acclaimed PBS film, A Wing and a Prayer, which recounts a World War II flight engineer's transformation into the leader of a secret operation to save newborn Israel.
