Cantor
Allan Robuck has served as Hazzan at
Congregation Ohev Shalom since 1991.
He is a member of the Cantors Assembly
and has received his commission as Hazzan-Minister
from them. His duties at COS include
leading services, teaching music in the
Hebrew school, training Bar and Bat MitzVah
students, leading an adult choir, adult
education, preparing the Yad Squad -
our lay Torah readers group - and the
occasional talk in our Rabbis’ absence.
Cantor Robuck is equally
at home in the worlds of popular and
Jewish music. He graduated from the University
of Cincinnati - College Conservatory
of Music with degrees in Music Education
and Jazz performance. From 1984 until
1996, Cantor Robuck appeared as a pianist
and singer at Walt Disney World. His
career includes appearances as pianist
and conductor with many well-known performing
artists on both the local and national
scene. Cantor Robuck's cantorial training
was under Cantor Albert Schindler (z'l)
of Cleveland, Ohio and Cantor Moshe Friedler
of Tampa, Florida. He is also founder,
music director and pianist for the Jewish
singing group VISIONS and performs with
them in cities around the world.
Cantor Robuck and his wife Robin live in Lake Mary, Florida. They are the proud parents of Michael, Benjamin and Yoni. |
