Congregation Ohev Shalom
was founded in
1918 and was the first
Conservative Synagogue in Central Florida,
Serving more than 700 families, Senior Rabbi
Aaron D. Rubinger, Cantor
Allan Robuck, Rabbi
David Kay,
Assistant Rabbi, and Director
of Youth Education and Family Programming,
Amy Geboff and Phil
Wolgel ,
our Executive Director have
provided stable leadership for the last
15 years. C.O.S. takes great pride
in it's heritage with religious services
emphasizing participation from men, women,
and children.

We have a strong Education
Department, an active Sisterhood, Men's
Club, Seniors
Group, and Youth
Groups which include Olim, Kadima,
and U.S.Y. Family Programs include
our popular Shabbat Shindigs, and Saturday
children's services. Adult Education
Programs range from Beginning Hebrew
to Talmud, B'Nei Mitzvah and Conversion.
We offer Minyan five days a week and
have the only Conservative Mikvah in
Florida, an extensive Judaica
Shop and a Judaica Library.

Congregation Ohev Shalom promotes
and preserves the practice of Conservative
Judaism through spiritual, educational,
life cycle, and cultural opportunities
while fostering an atmosphere of family
within the congregation and unity in the

Congregation
Ohev Shalom is a vibrant spiritual center
for Conservative Judaism that creates
a meaningful, dynamic Jewish environment,
meets the spiritual, cultural, educational,
and social needs of our members, and
promotes unity in the greater Orlando
Jewish community. We endeavor to instill
pride in our identity and heritage while
building a strong Jewish foundation for
future generations.
